The basketball fraternity like the rest of the world is gladly celebrating Father’s Day. Eminent faces of the sport are extending their warmest and heartiest acknowledgments toward their respective fathers on this special occasion. Similarly, the 2nd WNBA overall draft pick in the class of 2024 Cameron Brink is making the most of this day to let her dad know what he means to her.
The 2024 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year took a trip down memory lane recently to celebrate her father’s accomplishments. To mark the felicitous nature of Father’s Day, the 22-year-old posted an old picture of her and dad together. The photo features Greg Brink holding a little Cameron in his hands while the former Stanford standout poses cutely in front of the camera. The story also recognizes Greg’s contributions to the life of the 6 ft 4 forward. “Happy Father’s Day. I love you so much my rock and my (world),” Brink wrote, via her Instagram Story.
Hailing from the same profession, Greg Brink was an alumnus of Virginia Tech University. The interesting thing about this was that he shared the court with Dell Curry who happens to be the father of the NBA duo of Steph and Seth Curry. Besides this, he served as the CEO of Nike North America for three years. Further, he was also the VP of Supply Chain, APLA of Nike before announcing his retirement.
