Cameron Brink is slowly showcasing her value to the LA Sparks. The 2nd overall pick even matched Las Vegas Aces’ superstar A’ja Wilson with a stunning feat recently. The rookie’s on-court chemistry with her teammates can be clearly reflected in her contributions so far. However, her off-court bonding is also starting to make a lot of headlines. An example of that was very much visible on the latest episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show.

The 22-year-old appeared on the show alongside teammates Rickea Jackson, Lexie Brown, and Dearica Hamby. During the show, Hudson asked veteran Hamby to reflect on the time she has spent in the WNBA and what category of vet she finds herself in. Hamby replied, “I’m a big solidified vet.”

This impressed the 2024 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year. Consequently, she decided to share it in one of her stories. Furthermore, there was also an eye-catching caption attached to it which said, “That’s my momma.”

Anyhow, this wasn’t the only interesting thing to pick up from the show. Hudson soon asked Hamby how she was creating a balance between motherhood and basketball. To this, the 30-year-old responded, “I just do it. There’s no scripture to it. My kids are the best thing in my life. They just go with the flow with me and they’re very supportive.”

Hamby has been a pro since 2015. For 7 long seasons, she was a part of the San Antonio Stars/Las Vegas Aces, where she won the championship in 2022 and was named the Sixth Person of the Year in 2019 and 2020. Following this, in 2023, she chose to join the LA Sparks locker room.

The Sparks have made somewhat of a decent start to their 2024 campaign. Cameron Brink will be riding high on confidence after defeating Caitlin Clark and Co. in their previous encounter. Now, there is another ferocious rookie standing in their way.

Cameron Brink is all set to enter Angel Reese’s den

A former LSU Tiger will be waiting for the No.2 overall draft pick on Thursday. Another classic rookie face-off will be in store for the fans when the LA Sparks lock horns with Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky. This regular season clash will be taking place in Reese’s backyard at the Wintrust Arena. While the Sparks are fresh off a win over Indiana, the Sky couldn’t overcome Seattle in their matchup. Additionally, the hosts have lost both their home games, so Sparks will look to capitalize on this.

Cameron Brink and Co. will be looking to carry their winning momentum forward. However, they wouldn’t want to take their opponents lightly given the fact that they have upset last year’s runners-up twice already. The battle will have a lot to offer the fans.
