Caitlin Clark has experienced firsthand how life suddenly catapults one into the spotlight. One day, you’re just doing what you love, and the next, the whole world is cheering you on. But whether or not they remain cheers or sometimes turn into boos, the butterfly effect of fame reaches those around Clark as well. This time, it has affected a close relation, or rather, relation-to-be.
Anna Tystahl, newly engaged to Clark’s oldest brother Blake, previously had a public Instagram. But now, standing at 1,476 followers, Tystahl’s profile has been made private, and if one really wants to see what’s on there, one will have to request a follow and hope it gets approved. While we don’t know just why she switched her public profile to private, it just might be due to the fact that bring too close to Caitlin Clark has its own effect.
Just four days ago, Blake Clark and Tystahl announced their engagement on social media, with the Clark family’s newest addition-to-be posting on Instagram, “Engaged to my bestest friend!!!💍 I will love you forever, Blake Clark 🤍”

The Indiana Fever point guard commented on the post, “I love you two 🤍 can’t wait!!” The Des Moines born, who cites her oldest sibling as her “role model”, also posed with the happy couple in a picture, which also included the youngest Clark sibling, Colin.
The athletic siblings are often found supporting each other on the sidelines. The Clark brothers can sometimes be spotted at their sister’s games, which was especially the case when she played in Iowa.

Blake Clark also played football for Iowa State, and his sister said of his efforts in high school to The Gazette once, “He was super athletic, but he wasn’t the most skilled, the most talented. He just really outworked people, and I think that’s kind of what I admire about him and what drove me when I was young.”
Not much is known about the newly engaged couple except that they’ve been dating for a long time, and both are from Iowa State, as Tystahl’s Instagram bio says. While the Clark family was around to celebrate, there was one conspicuous member missing in action.

Caitlin Clark’s own better half absent on the big day
While there is an Iowa connection between the two oldest Clark siblings and their significant others, the other pairing is from the University of Iowa and not the state. There is also the basketball connection between Caitlin Clark and Connor McCaffery, which is actually what has kept No. 22’s boyfriend busy.
With the NCAA season in full swing, McCaffery, the freshly minted assistant coach for the Butler Bulldogs, likely had duties to fulfill with his team that day. While the McCaffery family is also a big name on the college basketball scene, Connor is holding his own in Butler and had his girlfriend’s support on opening night for the Bulldogs.

Attending the game in Indiana with Connor’s brother and mom, Margaret, a former Notre Dame player herself, the two were seated in the audience to watch not just the new assistant coach but Patrick McCaffery playing in Bulldog colors as well. To top off the night, Butler defeated Missouri 72-65!
As for the latest addition to the Clark family, while we don;t know just why she turned the privacy settings to private, we can rest assured that she too will learn how to bask in the spotlight that the 22-year-old brings in than running away from it.
