When we think of athletes who breathe their sport, a few names instantly pop into our minds, right? And one of them is surely Caitlin Clark. But we also know that the 23-year-old isn’t just dominating on the basketball court—she’s also a whiz at soccer and even a pro on the golf course. However while she seems ready to take on any challenge, there’s one thing Caitlin isn’t signing up for just yet… any more new sports.

At the “Visit Indy’s State of Tourism event,” CC was asked to choose between playing golf at the iconic Brickyard Crossing or ice skating at Bicentennial Unity Plaza. She laughed and said, “So I haven’t played at Brickyard yet, and I probably shouldn’t ice skate,” cracking up the crowd.

Even the Indiana Fever president Kelly Krauskopf, and GM Amber Cox, were right there with her, laughing along and agreeing. While Caitlin turned down the Olympic sport, she added that she’s definitely looking forward to golfing at Brickyard, and well, if you know her, you know she’s no stranger to the game.

She’s been long associated with golf and not just dabbling in for fun.

The baller has been turning heads in the pro golf world, too. She recently played in a pro-am for The Annika Tournament at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, alongside the No. 1-ranked Nelly Korda and the legendary Annika Sörenstam.

For the second consecutive week in a row, Clark hit the PGA Tour stage, this time at the RSM Classic in Sea Island, Georgia. But unlike her high-profile LPGA appearance, this one was kept under wraps until just days before the event.

Is Natasha Howard the missing piece for the Indiana Fever's championship puzzle alongside Caitlin Clark?

But once she showed up, her energy was off the charts. She nailed several drives straight down the fairway, and at one point, her tee shots were so long, that she was outdriving most of her group.

So, all in all, she showed she could hang with the best in both basketball and golf. But now, her focus is back on basketball, and if you’re an Indiana Fever fan, you’ve got plenty to look forward to this season, even bringing back a familiar face.

Amber Cox on Natasha Howard joining Caitlin Clark & Co.

The Fever have done a fantastic job of filling in the gaps and strengthening their roster. They’ve got a squad that’s looking pretty darn solid and reporters are already claiming they could snag this year’s championship

The Indiana Fever’s GM opened up about the exciting addition of Natasha Howard to the team at the same event. And trust me, this is a major move. As Cox explained, Natasha is one of the most versatile players the league has ever seen, and her experience is exactly what the team needed to go from solid to championship contender.

Howard, who was originally drafted by the Fever back in 2014, returns as a three-time WNBA champion with plenty of accolades to her name. The GM was clear about why Howard was the Fever’s top free-agent target.

“Natasha has been a top free agent target for us since day one. In addition to being one of the most versatile forwards our league has ever seen, she is also a proven winner and will bring a great veteran presence to our locker room,” Cox said.

And not to forget, Natasha isn’t just known for her leadership. Her skill set is a perfect fit alongside Caitlin Clark. As a power forward, she’s a dominant presence in the paint and can also step out and knock down shots from beyond the arc when needed.

While she’s not a high-volume three-point shooter, her ability to stretch the floor and run the floor will complement Clark’s passing perfectly.

So, with these key additions, including DeWanna Bonner and Sophie Cunningham, the team has made the most out of free agency. If they can execute everything on the court the way we know they’re capable of, 2025 could very well be their year.
