Caitlin Clark's $2,495 top—Is this a sign of her rising stardom or just extravagance?

Last night, Caitlin Clark mentioned how she chooses to go with the looks she pulls up. Giving her best advice, she said, “I would say, be comfortable. That’s the most important thing.” Also, just 24 hours ago, Clark joined Aliyah Boston as the only other rookie in the franchise history to receive specific recognition multiple times. So, to continue the celebration, the 22-year-old, after wearing Versace’s outfit for the WNBA All-Star Weekend’s Friday Night, rocked Armani once again.

The All-Star festivities continue for the guard, as she was part of the Nike Party in Arizona. For the event, she donned the circular lame cropped tank top. The silver, sparkly, mirror ball-coded top is worth $2495. Clark paired the top with a fabulous pair of pants as per Amy Owen, who shared the Fever Rookies look.

Although one could consider this Nike event to be full of celebration, however, the stock market performance says otherwise. According to Market Watch, an all-around grim day for the stock market had Nike’s stock fall 0.94% to $72.38 on Thursday, which was considered to be an all-around grim trading session for the stock market.

Her beige Versace top was no match for her Versace Medusa ‘95 Small Tote Bag, which was $270 higher. Yes, the Tote Bag is worth $1,995 alone. However, the celebrations were a deserved one for Caitlin Clark as she has been breaking records and creating one from the very first day in the WNBA. But, which record did Fever #22 add her name to?

Caitlin Clark and records go hand in hand

In May, Clark became just the 3rd Fever player to win the Rookie of the Month, after an impeccable performance. For the first month of the season, Caitlin Clark was top of the rookie’s chart for multiple categories. She led in scoring (17.6 ppg), field goals made (46), 3-point field goals made (24), free throws made (42), and assists (6.6 apg). And now after winning the second award, she is just the second player in the franchise history.

Clark was announced as the Rookie of the Month for July and thus, she joined Aliyah Boston for winning the Rookie Award more than once. Boston last year won it thrice in May, June, and August. Caitlin Clark averaged 20.3 points, 12.5 assists, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.8 steals while continuing her dominance over other rookies.

Hence, it seems that Clark is impressive not just on the hardwood but also off it. And with the WNBA All-Star game just a few hours away, the fans would be hoping for an intense matchup between Team USA and Team WNBA. Will Caitlin Clark then be able to prove her mettle? Only time will tell.
