“People think I’m like a bandwagon Chiefs fan, I’m like, ‘No, I was there before Patrick (Mahomes) and Travis.’ We were ride or dies, so we’ve been big fans.” On the New Heights podcast, Caitlin Clark joined the Kelce brothers to explain her Chiefs fandom. Last week, her appearance supporting the team broke the internet as she was alongside the pop star Taylor Swift. Recently, she spoke about that moment, and how the win helped her away with the ‘curse’ tag.
“I mean, it’s cute to see how excited she is for the Chiefs and getting to share that, and ‘Oh my god! I love this’, and she loves the Chiefs as much as me is incredible.” On the Swarmcast: An Iowa Hawkeyes podcast, the Fever star spoke about spending time with Swift during the attended divisional game victory over the Houston Texans. The win also spared Caitlin Clark from Kansas City’s fans and the curse tag.
“I was a little nervous because the last time I went to Arrowhead we lost and I’m like ‘I don’t want to be the bad luck charm.’ We figured it out, I am all good, I am allowed back. So that’s the good news.” Yes, the game ended with the Chiefs winning 51-31, and during the win, the camera captured them talking to each other and even sharing a hug. Being a self-proclaimed ‘swiftie’, the moment for the 23-year-old certainly stays for a lifetime.

Caitlin Clark attended multiple nights of Swift’s “Eras Tour” in Indianapolis and even stated which her favorite song from the pop singer is. A song from way back in 2010, ‘Enchanted,’ when she was just a kid in elementary school. That’s why Swift and Caitlin Clark’s connection extends beyond football.

In December, Swift invited the 2024 WNBA ROTY to attend a Chiefs game and gifted her four bags of Eras Tour merchandise. Which also included a handwritten note from her and Kelce for the Fever guard. During one of the concert days, CC even stood next to Travis Kelce and he revealed what it was like spending time with her.

Taylor Swift’s love praised Caitlin Clark
After announcing their relationship to the public, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce received a lot of love. One of them was the Hawkeye alum who welcomed Taylor to the ‘good side’. The number 1 pick of the 2024 WNBA draft also shared high praise for the Chiefs athletes. “Good quarterback, great tight end. They are fun to watch. They make football exciting.” So, it was obvious that respect and appreciation would be returned.
“Swiftie through and through,” Kelce opened up about meeting Clark at the concert. “It was fun. Got to meet Caitlin Clark there. She’s awesome, she loves being out there in Indianapolis, says it’s a fun city. We’re both just two Midwesterners to the heart. Played high school ball, college ball, pro ball, all out here in the Midwest and it was cool catching up with her.”
