Before last night’s game, Indiana’s rookie spent a few minutes with Katie Lou Samuelson’s daughter Aliya. As a result, she got fans’ hearts melting.

The WNBA and Sports on Prime took to their official Instagram accounts as they posted the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer taking a break with the baby girl. Taking a witty turn on their caption, they wrote, “Baby (Indiana)Fever! Caitlin Clark spending time with Katie Lou Samuelson’s baby 🥹.” The caption was a clever play as the baby fever took over Indiana with Lou bringing her baby in for the media day, the practices, and now at the home opener.

In the video, Clark picks up the baby and she quickly finds her way into the hooper’s mouth. To this, the No. 22 asks her ‘elder sister’ Erica Wheeler, “E-dub, heeelp!” and Erica Wheeler simply goes, “Hoooow?” Later, the rookie tries to converse with the baby, saying, “You’re so fun. You’re crazy.” From behind, Wheeler says, “Now we gotta copyright Aliya.” The interaction took over the internet and blew everyone’s minds as the fans could not help but comment on the overloaded cuteness.

One of the basketball fans agreed with the thought that babies truly can help relieve some stress and anxiety. Pretty sure, Clark would be having some cold fingers until she started playing as she went against one of her idols, Sabrina Ionescu and the New York Liberty.
