Caitlin Clark snubs Wembanyama—Is she right to focus solely on the Paris Olympics?

As Team USA is all set to take on France in the men’s basketball Olympics final, there has been immense excitement all around. And this wave has even caught WNBA rookie Caitlin Clark as she can’t wait for this game which she feels will be an unforgettable one. While there can be some nervousness considering Victor Wembanyama‘s French team has been nothing less than spectacular in this event, Clark seems unaffected by that.

While enjoying MLB at the Yankees’ stadium, Clark recently told how she feels ahead of the final game of Team USA. “I don’t really think we gonna have any problem with France as the game might start soon,” said Clark from the commentary box. However, she also emphasized earlier that this game could be one of the best Olympic games so far. While Clark has less to worry about the French team, the US men’s basketball team cannot afford to go easy on their opponents.

While Curry scored a whopping 36 points along with 8 rebounds against Serbia, LeBron James hit his second triple-double of his Olympic career. James bagged 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists and that’s what completed Team USA’s comeback against Serbia. The NBA legend has been the true leader for his team leading the points tally. And this duo is what shone in the semifinals but the US has got other ace cards as well.

The star guard Kevin Durant has been phenomenal for Team USA as well and he has maintained an average of 13.6 points per game. Alongside the veteran is a rising talent, Devin Booker averaging 11 points per game. These stats suggest while France will have much reliance on a couple of players, Team USA will face them as a unit to fight for another gold at the Olympics.
