The Germans are next! After winning their opening 2 fixtures to seal the quarterfinal spot, Team USA will now face their exhibition game opponents in a nothing-to-lose contest next. But, the reigning world champions wouldn’t want to break their 57-game winning streak built over the last 30 years. To make sure it happens, they’ll need their two most prized possessions, A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart, to join forces and flawlessly exhibit their chemistry. And by the looks of their recent practice session, that doesn’t seem to be an issue at all.

Some intense preparations were on display before the Team USA could lock horns again. Leading the charge for them was the 2023 WNBA Finals MVP A’ja Wilson. From practicing her accuracy to shooting deep 3s to grabbing rebounds, the 27-year-old was making sure that she got a grip on every skill of hers. However, one of the essential highlights of their training was the camaraderie between Wilson and her WNBA rival, Breanna Stewart. At one point, she was impressed with the execution abilities of the Liberty’s No. 30 which was evident with a- “Nice, Stewie”- during the session.

And this has been the case with the two so far in the Olympics. Both of them have been instrumental in the squad’s quest for an 8th consecutive gold. Seemingly, compiling almost 60% of Team USA’s total points, the MVP contenders have complemented each other perfectly while performing the offensive responsibilities of the team. This may not come as a surprise for many considering the fact that they have a long-standing 11-year history between them. As it turns out, the first time Wilson and Stewart shared a court together was in Lithuania during the U19 World Championship. Following this, their collective services were required again at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup and the Tokyo Olympics.

While things are pretty smooth on the court, it looks like there aren’t any complaints during their off-court outings as well.

A’ja Wilson shares a brunch with Breanna Stewart and Diana Taurasi

Friday afternoon appears to be a chilling affair for Team USA. Apparently, three of its big guns A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, and veteran Diana Taurasi decided to experience some exquisite French delicacies. Soon after, Wilson shared a glimpse of their time in one of her Instagram stories, captioned, “Brunch w/tha gals was lovely!” as she summed up her elation.

After this, the three of them went on to witness the women’s 3×3 team in action. The 3×3 squad won both of its games on Friday by edging past France and Canada. They are set to play against China next.

The recent activities clearly show that the equation between A’ja Wilson, and Breanna Stewart is flourishing. Donning the national jersey, they are making the most of their experience playing together. It will indeed be a tough task for their opponent to overcome the challenges posed by both of them.
