This time around, Las Vegas is quite up and about on TikTok trends. After A’ja Wilson and Sydney Colson showed their moves to ‘Mamushi’ by Megan Thee Stallion, the entire Aces squad has also hopped on a trend. This year’s challenges didn’t stop the back-to-back champions from achieving their latest feat for the 2025 season. The team recently announced that they sold out tickets for the upcoming season. Players joined Wilson in her latest TikTok trend to celebrate, playfully teasing head coach Becky Hammon.

Everything was going smoothly until Hammon’s Italian persona stole the show. The Aces took on the viral ‘Give Me My Money‘ trend, and it seems like the players, once again, chose their head coach as the scapegoat. 

Wilson started things off, followed by the rest of the team, including Kelsey Plum and Kiersten Bell, each delivering their lines. In this viral trend, each member steps forward to say ‘Give me my money‘ in the most hilarious way, with the rest cheering them on. “Just give me my money @lvaces,” Wilson captioned the post.

When it was Hammon’s turn, she instead summoned her Italian alter ego, saying, “All these girls are asking for one thing”‘ Then, imitating a soft, calm voice, she added, “And all they want from the family is to give them their freaking money.” The trend always ends with a scapegoat who doesn’t receive the same cheers.

However, after trying to keep their emotions in check, the team ended up laughing at Hammon’s hilarious tone. And whether it was a subtle jab at the ‘Sin City’ franchise to give them a part of their sales, as Kelsey Plum has previously noted, it definitely was a hysterical treat for the Aces loyalists.

Fans recognize Becky Hammon’s unintentional reference to Godfather 

A netizen hilariously called out Hammon for turning into a classical sopranos tone to deliver her line. The comment read, “She went full Soprano,” with a crying emoji. Wilson replied to the comment, agreeing with the fan. “Literally” the Aces star wrote. 

Hammon stayed in Italy for over a year in 2001-2002. She played for the Trentino Rovereto Basket. Fans wondered how her delivery of dialogue might be referenced to the famous Italian American culture-based film Godfather. “Coach Becky going into a whole Godfather thing is SENDING me. Jack not saying a word, so on par,” an X user commented. 

The last line was for Jackie Young, who had an interesting way of delivering her lines. She didn’t say it at all. She simply motioned her hands to convey her words and left with the rest bursting into laughter. “I HAVE REAL TEARS IN MY EYES 😭 from Jackie not talking to Coach lol,” a follower wrote.

Young commented on the post and wrote, “lol i said what i said.” Hammon’s hilarious acting garnered everyone’s attention, with one demanding an Oscar for the coach. “Nah she deserved the applause, the oscar and all the money,” an Aces fan opined.

Another netizen pointed out how Hammon was trying her best to contain her emotions, to deliver her lines, only to end up cracking up the players. Another noted a Godfather reference as well. “Becky went in her ‘ you come to me on the day my daughter is to be married’ Godfather bag,” a loyalist quipped.

The Aces have just become the first team to have consecutively sold out its season tickets. Do the players need to say anything? Their actions are surely conveying it all.
