Caitlin Clark had already told fans what her intentions would be in Indy. When it came to playing, it was almost always about the former prodigy of Dawn Staley – Aliyah Boston. The two were paired together as soon as people got the sniff of what the draft could be. Now that they are finally together on the court, is it a sign that there could be a resurgence at Fever with this set of players?
In a YouTube short by ESPN captioned, “Caitlin Clark is putting in the work,” Boston and Clark show their impressive performance as a duo. Not just the No. 7’s buckets in the paint but also the No. 22’s mind-blowing accuracy from beyond the arc are worth watching on repeat. However, apart from their scoring abilities, their playmaking skills make them forces to reckon with on the floor. NCAA’s all-time scoring leader continues impressing the people with her quick and unthinkable passes. At the same time, Boston too does the same. The Indiana Fever also posted the video on their official Instagram account. They captioned it, “@aliyah.boston and @caitlinclark22 putting in work together for the first time.”

Caitlin Clark has always been a strong performer, ever since her face came to light as a junior with the Hawkeyes. Similarly, Boston too has been an echoed name through the walls of arenas, inking her name as the 2022 NCAA champion and Rookie of the Year in 2023 with the Fever. Watching the trailer for their upcoming WNBA season games, many are pooling up in anticipation, wondering how this duo will perform under Christie Sides.
“Domination” fans gleam in joy as Caitlin Clark sloshes basketball again
Previously, Clark had mentioned that she is not even touching a ball as she takes a much-needed break. However, just a week later, the exemplary hooper is down in the gym, knitting her pair with Aliyah Boston. One fan chimes at the practice session video watching his clear favorite back on the floor.
“Caitlin Clark ballin already”
On the day of the draft when Dawn Staley was asked about Clark coming in with Boston, she mentioned that her former student is going to be what Hannah Stuelke from Iowa was for the 2x National Player of the Year. The two took balls from the No. 22 and completed the run with success. Another fan applauded the pre-existing connection between the two Indy standouts.
“This duo is fire. Glad that they’re making good team chemistry”
The previous few years have been transformative for the entire women’s leagues. Moreover, the interest in the sport is only on the rise with many teams already selling out their season tickets. With this, another basketball fan put everyone’s thoughts into words saying that the upcoming season is going to be an exciting one.

A YouTube user also pointed out that the way these two are already wrecking the floor with the quick passes and buckets, they just might get Indiana into the playoffs. It is a common occurrence in the WNBA that rookies take some time to plant their feet with the new team. But that is, perhaps, not the case with Caitlin Clark and Boston.
“They will be really good and really quickly. This will not take years. This will be a playoff team.”
The duo was even able to pull a handful of fans from other teams to sing their praises. A Liberty fan commented on ESPN’s post saying that they would be rooting for a successful future for Indiana.

“I’m a liberty fan but always supported the fever when they had Tamika Catchings and was happy when she got her chip. Now they got a young duo to give them something to root for again. Wish them the best of luck for the nwxt decade.”
Clearly, this team now has most, if not all, in the basketball world on their side. It will be interesting to watch if they wreak havoc for their opponents in the upcoming season and live up to their billing.
