“Elite babysitter,” was Caitlin Clark’s response when she was asked to babysit her teammate Katie Lou Samuelson’s 10-month-old child after her exceptional WNBA performance against the New York Liberty in July. Clark, who seems to have an adoration for kids, instantly agreed to do the service. And the same emotions were demonstrated on Thursday when the 22-year-old met her youngest fan and autographed her. The video of the same was uploaded by Indiana Fever on their social media networking handle Instagram’s account.
Clark was spotted seeing the 2-week old baby with much adoration. Her mother asked Clark if she was comfortable holding the baby and Clark then held her in her arms. “Hi, so cute,” Clark remarked. She then went on to reveal that previously she had signed an ultrasound but when it comes to an actual baby, this was her youngest fan. And fans had different reactions to the same.

“Aliyah’s babysitter is making new friends 👀,” a user commented. The netizen was pointing to the fact that after Clark’s exceptional triple-double against the Liberty in July, Clark had to babysit her teammate Samuelson’s daughter Aliyah. Hence, the fan was excited to see Clark once again with her penchant for babies.
Clark had scored an exceptional 19 points, with 12 rebounds and 13 assists against the Liberty that day. Clark was seen playing with Aliyah on the sidelines of the court, who sat there with a basketball. The Iowa-alum then picked up the baby as the latter put her hand in Clark’s mouth. Clark then while putting her to the ground was trying to help the baby balance on her feet and rocking her up and down. Her fans were delighted to watch this. And a similar emotion came to the fore when Clark autographed the 2 week old.
Fans go gaga over Caitlin Clark’s gesture
“The way she held the baby 😭😭,” another social media user went gaga over the fact that Clark had safely held the baby. She had one of her hands on the head and the other supporting the frame of the 2-week-old.

“Baby is a Caitlin Clark fan since birth 👏,” one fan looked excited to see that the baby was her fan since birth. The Clark Fever has gripped not only Indiana but also the world. That was pretty evident when a Japanese fan showed up in the Olympics opener against his home team and held the placard “You need Caitlin Clark to beat us.” Post that, during the final pool game against Germany, another Clark fan came to the spotlight donning the number 22 jersey.
“caitlin going absolutely soft whenever she sees the itty bitty babies is so wholesome 🥹,” another user stated. The fan was notably pointing out that Clark as mentioned before had shown proper care for Samuelson’s child and now, she was demonstrating a liking towards her youngest fan. All this would have melted the heart of the fan.
“So beautiful. Caitlin appears to be comfortable with most any situation. Very mature young woman who was raised well by her parents,” another social media user commented. Clark has shown maturity not only while winning but even when she loses or fails to make it to a team. After she was snubbed from the Olympics squad, Clark came forward to remark that she had no disappointment. All this points to how graceful she is in defeat and how humble she is in wins.
