Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull: Are they the ultimate off-court duo in the WNBA?

“I like a good bargain.” Caitlin Clark is taking a break from Gatorade and hitching up on summery drinks from a local cafe. Along with her is her ‘Indiana Fever Mermaid’ Lexie Hull, enjoying every sip of the final summer days. Although there was a bump to their offseason plans, with Clark’s boyfriend Connor McCaffery fighting off critics, things seem to be more calm now. And on Saturday, their drinking plan got an upgrade as they enjoyed sipping from a special tumbler.

The ROTY was chilling with Hull in what appeared to be the latter’s car after getting drinks from a local cafe named ‘Swig’. The two also had a conversation about their drinks where they introduced their drinks to their followers. “We got our golden mugs, tumblers they are ginormous,” Hull stated while comparing the tumbler to her face. To which CC remarked, “I got the same thing as last thing coz it was good.” Meanwhile, the other mermaid replied “I got the Jolly off, recommended by the owner,” The video for the same was posted by Hull on her TikTok channel.

Just a few days ago, Hull had posted a video with CC as the two ladies were at the Swig for the first time. While the former Cardinal ordered a Raspberry Dream with vanilla cream, along with Summer Splash, Clark went for Spring Fling with vanilla cream and Summer Splash.

The server from the restaurant had recommended the golden mug to the ladies the first time. And when they came back again today, it was clear that Swig has earned itself loyal customers, who ultimately did get the golden tumblers. Meanwhile, while Clark can finally take a breather from basketball, her boyfriend Connor McCaffery is busy handling her haters in his own way.

Connor McCaffery becomes the knight in shining armor for Caitlin Clark

On Thursday, a report was released revealing that hate levels against players spiked during March Madness. And unfortunately, it’s the women who are on the receiving end of unruly behavior more than men. Taking note of the same, McCaffery came to the fore to request the authorities come up with a solution. “There must be more done to address this toxic behavior impacting sports at all levels,” McCaffery stated.

Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull: Are they the ultimate off-court duo in the WNBA?

Have an interesting take?

It must be McCaffery’s close relationship with Clark that has helped him understand the problem because he was a first-hand witness. During the 2023-24 NCAA Finale, when Clark failed to clinch the title against the Gamecocks, a lot of fans started doubting her abilities. Many of her frustrated followers started calling her “overrated.” While she has proven that she is anything but overrated with an exemplary rookie season in the WNBA, there is no denying that her popularity has a negative side as well.

At the moment, Clark can continue to enjoy her off-season and also give a rest to her “alpha-Batman” image that she earned during her time with the Hawkeyes. And instead let McCaffery go all in to shut her critics, becoming the hero of this off-season story.
