Hardly anyone would argue that Chicago rookie Angel Reese is having a fairytale beginning to her WNBA career. The 3x All-American picked up things where she left off her college career. While things are sailing pretty smoothly for her professionally, her supporters would love to see her make some serious inroads in her personal life as well. Well, they might be on to something now after Reese’s recent interaction with the latest draftee of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

A star-studded evening commenced in Chicago, courtesy of the 2024 NBA draft party. For Illinois’ former shooting guard Terrence Shannon Jr, it was a special occasion as he became the 27th overall pick and will now head to Minnesota. But, before that, he made sure to celebrate the moment with his family and friends. Anyhow, things turned intriguing when people found out that Chicago Sky’s fierce No.5 Angel Reese was also a part of that circle. Not only was she present at the party, but she shared a very warm hug with him.

Terrence Shannon Jr. was in the company of his former Illinois coach Brad Underwood. In addition to this, his Texas Tech mentor Chris Beard decided to make it more special by donning a TSJ t-shirt. However, Reese’s presence came as a surprise for many. So much so, that it has created a buzz all around social media about a potential dating scenario between the two. However, there is nothing conclusive or confirmed development from either of these athletes yet.

Meanwhile, if in the future these rumors do come true, this will be the second time that Angel Reese will date an athlete.

Earlier, the break-up rumors between Angel Reese and the Florida State Seminoles guard Cam’Ron Fletcher were further given validation after both of them stopped posting about each other and deleted their previously shared moments. On top of that, Fletcher’s story captioned, “Elevation requires separation,” provided further insights into their current status.

The news got more or less confirmed after another of his stories gained traction. He wrote, “Stop DM me, I’ve been single for a min. All I mess with genuine sh*t. I got all the respect and love for her but me & that young lady are not together.” While he deleted it later, this provided circumstantial evidence that these two are not seeing each other anymore.

It is difficult to draw conclusions from this meeting between both. Nonetheless, fans would still hope for the best for both of these phenomenal athletes. For the time being, they will have to make do with the professional updates of their life.
