Surprisingly, Seattle Storm kept the visitor’s best player in the opening month Marina Mabrey to a mere 8 points. Still, she facilitated the plays with 7 assists and also notched 4 rebounds on the road win. Kamilla Cardoso flirted with a double-double with 9 points and 8 rebounds. On the other hand, while all starters for Seattle had double-digit scores, it was not enough to overcome the relentless chasers of Chicago.

Now that the Sky has sealed yet another win, they have climbed up the conference ladder and are now in the third position. As for the league, they have further improved their playoff contention by getting higher up to the 7th rank for the first time this season. Of course, it is also because the Atlanta Dream dropped two positions with tonight’s loss to the Dallas Wings and are under the young Indiana Fever in the rankings. It will surely be worthwhile to see how long Angel Reese can keep up with her double-doubles for the Sky.
