“People are going to doubt me, thinking I’ve gone too Hollywood or let fame get to my head,” Angel Reese once said in response to critics. They questioned her quick leap into the celebrity world before even making her WNBA debut. Already collaborating with stars like Cardi B and Latto, some felt she was focusing more on fame than basketball. But true to her unapologetic style, the criticism hasn’t fazed her.

In fact, her latest interaction with yet another big-name rapper suggests she might soon make an appearance in another music video. On the latest episode of her podcast, Unapologetically Angel, the Chicago Sky forward welcomed American rapper GloRilla. Things got interesting when Reese asked about the rapper’s upcoming projects and whether any music videos were in the works.

As soon as GloRilla hinted at a yes, Reese didn’t hesitate, saying, “Oh, I want to be in one!” GloRilla was quick to agree, replying, For real? Okay say less I got the one I know exactly.”

The two already share a history, having crossed paths before during GloRilla’s ‘Hot Girl Summer Tour’ with Megan Thee Stallion. Reese made a stage appearance at their Chicago concert, showing off her dance moves alongside the stars.

Now with their recent conversation, it seems fans might see Angel Reese in an upcoming GloRilla project, featuring the Chi-Town Barbie herself. However, this wouldn’t be Reese’s first time gracing a music video; she has collaborated with artists in the past.

Angel Reese chasing her dream of being a “Video Vixen”

The Baltimore native has already dipped her toes into the music world, appearing in a music video and proving she can collaborate beyond the basketball court. In fact, she’s been open about her interest in taking a different path. “This is a different kind of route for me. I had never— I always said I wanted to be like a video vixen. I don’t know why I always said that,” Reese shared on her podcast earlier when she hosted fellow stars Latto and Mariah the Scientist.

While still a star at LSU last year, Reese made a memorable cameo in one of Latto and Cardi B’s music video “Put It on Da Floor Again”. The song even gave a shout-out to Reese’s college team with the line, “I been ballin’ so damn hard, could’ve went to LSU.” As Cardi B delivered the basketball-inspired lyric, the camera zoomed in on Reese, who confidently stood tall and locked eyes with the lens.

Later in her podcast, Reese also opened up about how both excited and nervous she felt when the chance to appear in the music video came her way. “I always said I wanted to be a little video vixen, and then when you (Latto) DM’ed me, I was like, I had to text my agent, like, ‘Should I do this?’ I was like, ‘Is it going to be ghetto?’ I didn’t know what to expect. It was ghetto,” said Reese when hosted Latto.

As Reese makes the most of her off-season—attending New York fashion shows, posing with Cardi B, and hosting top-tier celebrities—her recent podcast episode with GloRilla suggests she might soon fulfill her dream of being a video vixen once again. While the timing of her off-court project remains uncertain, one thing is clear: fans can look forward to seeing her back on the court at the Unrivaled League, set to kick off next January.
