“Earning the spot” was Angel Reese’s plan when coming to Chicago. And although it feels like just yesterday that she came to the ‘Windy City’, it has already been over two weeks. During this time, apart from grinding hard in the gym, the ‘Chi-Barbie’ has also kept herself busy with trying out new locations in the town. However, it is not always easy to move around freely. Especially, if you are one of the reasons why everyone’s watching women’s sports.

While Chicago has given Reese a lot of love, sometimes the situations can get a little out of hand as well. Something similar happened to the Sky’s rookie. Sharing her recent experience with Kaitlin Sharkey of the WGN News, Angel Reese gave her viewers an insight into being a popular hooper. Telling her recent interactions with the Sky fans, she said, “They be starstruck…It’s crazy. Yesterday, I was in the car, I was getting back in the car, and I was trying to leave but this girl was banging on my window. She was like, ‘I caught you from Chicago. Open this window up.'” Replaying her reaction to the memory in her head, Reese added her response to the fan, “I’m a little nervous around you.”

Continuing, the Baltimore native said, “Once I get a little more familiar with the area, obviously I’ll feel comfortable. Imma be fine. But being able to see people recognize me is great. I walk down the street and everybody’s like “Angel Reese, welcome to the city!”

But, people are not the only thing that ‘Bayou Barbie’ likes to spend time with. In fact, her other focus currently in Chicago is finding new places to eat.

“I’ve been everywhere” Angel Reese unveils her explorations

From the very first story in Chicago to every day, Reese has been posting about where she has been latest, and which place she loves. After talking about loving the chicken in the ‘Windy City’, she has added more locations to her list. Telling Sharkey about the visits, the 6-ft-3 hooper said, “I’ve been everywhere, kinds downtown, getting different foods. Everybody just wanted me to try something different.” Mentioning her new favorite spot, she said, “Jug Villa was goood! It sorta stays open till 1 am so it’s gonna be after game.”

Although it has been a whirlwind in her life, looks like the 2023 NCAA champion has high energy to go around the town. And with her birthday today, there’s surely going to be some amazing party somewhere. But until then, the fans can keep following her on socials and see which location she approves next for a great getaway. You can also look forward to watching her next game live as the Sky tries to take down last year’s finalists – the New York Liberty.
