Resilience and fierceness can truly be Angel Reese’s middle name. Much before coming into the WNBA, she has consistently shown her competitiveness that brings wins. In fact, Teresa Weatherspoon had praised the rookie for this very reason and her confidence. Hence, even when going against the 2x WNBA champions A’ja Wilson and Co. for the first time, she had nothing but positivity oozing out of her aura. And not just the Aces, she gave a warning to the rest of the veterans, killing two birds with one stone.
Recently, Angel Reese spoke about her preparedness in her media availability. She said, “You can’t be scared. You can’t come in and think like these are women I’ve been watching all my life. Honestly, it’s just competition. The thing is the vets respect that. They talk to me during the game. They talk to me after the game. Just know, going in, I’m just going competitive and I’m just gonna do whatever just going in.”
The Chi-Town Barbie is coming off a big 87-88 win at home against her NCAA rival Caitlin Clark. There she alone grabbed the final five points of the game to push her team in the last few minutes of the game. She also recorded her ninth double-double with 25 points and 16 rebounds. She surely has become the new face of Chicago as she keeps striving for success.

However, her upcoming matchup is set with another incredible double-double and rebounding queen– A’ja Wilson. But that is not enough to nudge this hooper off of her aim to win at any cost.
Angel Reese praises the Aces for their chemistry
Tomorrow’s game will be a showdown as two of Dawn Staley’s highly praised players A’ja Wilson and Kamilla Cardoso will come face-to-face. Adding the heat will be Angel Reese who is cementing her feet in the league quite well. Although Las Vegas had quite a few injury woes, Chelsea Gray, the ‘point gawd’ has returned to them. Still, they are missing Kirsten Bell to add more depth to their roster. However, the 2x reigning champions will try to keep up their two-game winning streak.
On the other side, the Sky is also ready to host the World Champions. But first, Angel Reese had quite a few thoughts on the team. In her media availability, she said, “They’re a great team. They don’t even have depth and they still come out and dominate. That shows their conditioning. That shows their team chemistry. They have a great coach, Coach Becky. I just think they’re an amazing team on and off the court. I think they have great relationship too.”
Giving a hint at how she has prepared for the matchup, she mentioned, “Just being able to watch film is going to be really important and understanding matchups.”

The Sky is short on Elizabeth Williams but looks like they are doing decently without her. But will they need more troops to go against one of the powerhouses of the WNBA? Only time will tell what goes on in this intense matchup. But Angel Reese is certainly prepared for everything that comes at her.
