Did Kayla Nicole really need Travis Kelce, or is she thriving better on her own?

“I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and just like online chaos doesn’t impact me. It does, even to this day,” said Kayla Nicole. Amid Kansas City Chiefs’ standout Travis Kelce’s highly publicized romance with Taylor Swift, his ex, whom he dated on and off for five years, has been going well about her business. Amid the breakup controversy, there’s something else Kayla Nicole is questioned for; that very well came with the relationship.

What else would it be rather than her bond with Chiefs’s WAGs which included her then BFF? So, here’s Nicole all set to back up her words for shutting those rumors. During the October 10th episode of ‘Unapologetically Angel’, Kayla Nicole appeared as a guest to discuss topics surrounding her life. During the episode, she ended up awkwardly addressing fallout with several Kansas City Chiefs WAGs, including her BFF Brittany Mahomes at one time. “When you get there, is it a fake relationship?” asked Reese.

The question clearly caught the model off guard, but she uncomfortably laughed and mumbled, uttering “Mhm.” She then made it clear that it was no longer the case. “I feel calm and comfortable, and then it’s like, ‘What, you’re cool.’ Yeah, we’re cool, but we’re not as cool as we were before.”

Though Nicole didn’t specifically name Mahomes, she and the 29-year-old were once thick as thieves. In fact, Nicole was one of her bridesmaids when she tied the knot with Patrick Mahomes during her 2022 wedding. But after calling it off with Kelce, Nicole ended up on the other side.

But, this isn’t the only thing Nicole opted to discuss during Thursday’s podcast.

As the podcast was about to air, Nicole took the opportunity to address the rumors about her splitting bills with Travis Kelce. “I know there was a rumor that said you stopped messaging him at one point because of 50-50,” Reese asked. To this, Nicole responded most hilariously, taking advantage of the moment.

After Kelce and Nicole announced their split, rumors swirled that they parted ways because he forced her to split the bills. “Do I look like I would go 50-50 on bills?” joked Nicole before actually addressing the question. Although the couple called it quits in 2022, the Tribe Therape founder still received hateful messages from the singer’s undeniably huge fanbase. And, this “50-50 on bills” is one of them.

“So, yeah, that was ridiculous. But he addressed that too, though. I don’t even know why that became a thing. It was never an issue during our relationship, but it was definitely a rumor on the internet,” added Nicole clarifying further. Reese, on the other hand, couldn’t help but comment on how she was a huge fan of Nicole’s relationship with Kelce.

“He’s a great guy,” shared Nicole. Moving on, the Chicago Sky standout asked Nicole if she would consider dating again in the future. The Pepperdine alum replied that she has no desire to date another athlete. In fact, she brushes aside men who may be intimidated by her past relationship with the NFL star, Kelce.

“He wasn’t even all that. It was cool. It comes with the territory. But if you’re intimidated by any aspect of me, then you’re not my type of guy,” she said. This was the first time Nicole directly addressed the questions while laughing at the same time.
