Angel Reese is a devout Christian. She has expressed her faith and love for it often. At the stage she is in, Reese surely has something more than a game, something more than destiny, something magical. Hence, it is obvious that she loves her faith, and the almighty reciprocates it by answering her prayers. On Saturday, Reese came forward to share that one gesture that she truly appreciates.

Reese took to the social media platform X and stated that one of the best things that anyone has done for her either previously or right now is to pray for her. “The best thing somebody can ever do/say to me is that they prayed or they’ve been praying for me!” Reese communicated through the platform.

Reese had previously also shown her affinity towards Christianity when in May she had divulged her happiness on getting to go to a chapel for the first time. She further enunciated that she looks beyond the game when it comes to being religious and the players of the other team can also come forward to join hands with her in the sacred place.

God, I wouldn’t be able to do it without God so being able to have that… I love that about the league, like being able to have chapel, like chapel is something that I really, really, really love,” Reese had opined. She also revealed that she prays before every game and reads her demotion every morning. This faith has certainly propelled her towards greatness and made her the player she is.

Angel Reese looks forward to her next accomplishments

Reese has already been lauded by many as the prime contender for the Rookie of the Year award. She is the only WNBA rookie to average in double-doubles. At the moment she has scored 13.5 points per match with 11.1 rebounds per game. She is currently been taken as a better player than her rival Caitlin Clark. And much of it has been possible because of her placing trust in her.

On the image management front, Reese faced a setback when she was deemed the villain of the game. She then took the court with Joker sneakers and her game spoke volumes about her ability bringing her back as the mainstream hero.

Perhaps, it is her faith that has been helping Reese win battles. And as she comes closer to the playoffs, fans will be expecting her to do magic with her wand. While her opponents must be shivering due to the challenges.
