Breanna or Napheesa: Who's the real MVP of the WNBA Championship Finale? Let's hear your thoughts!

The W craze has taken over completely. While Breanna Stewart has taken the New York Liberty to two wins against the Minnesota Lynx in the Championship Finale series, Napheesa Collier has helped level the series 2-2 at the end of Game 4. And much like fans, even W stars are facing the dilemma of naming the better player among the two. While the Chi-Town Barbie came up with a solution for it, seems like she couldn’t execute her idea either.

Hours before Game 4 on Friday, Reese tweeted that she wanted a jersey presenting the two Husky opponents: Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier. However, she also had a condition asking the same to be made before Sunday. “Who can make me a half stewie half phee jersey by SUNDAY????”  Reese tweeted. However, after waiting for hours, Reese tweeted the progress of the request: nobody volunteered to get it done for her. “So i guess nobody can do this for me by tomorrow 🥲🫠,” she concluded.

The jerseys of the two Finalists are priced at $129.99 each. Hence, anyone who would have created the masterpiece requested by the seventh-overall pick, the same would have added up to $258. Reese, who looks to be supporting both the teams, could have finally showed up at the Barclay’s in one-of-a-kind jersey, if she plans to do it.

When the best of 5 series of the Championship Finale commenced at the Barclays Center, the Lynx edged past the Liberty by a 95-93 margin. However, the next game put the Liberty at the center. In the next matchup, the New York-based team capitalized on their home advantage and defeated the Lynx by an 80-66 margin.

In Game 3, the Liberty notched up another win as Sabrina Ionescu hit a three-pointer with a second left. The final score read 80-77 in the Liberty’s favor. And then in the most recently concluded Game 4, the Lynx narrowly won the matchup by an 82-80 tally led by a foul. Therefore, going by these four games, it is highly possible that Sunday’s decider might swing in anyone’s favor. And it remains to be seen who will have the last laugh. But it definitely is a series that the WNBA enthusiasts would dream of with the top two teams of the league locking horns. But there is one more award that anyone in the two teams can capture.

Have an interesting take?

While A’ja Wilson took home the WNBA MVP award, there’s one more title that the players want to clinch: the Finals MVP. And Stewie and Phee are working hard for it. Phee’s game has been an offensive and defensive treat in the four games. Her best performance came in Game 3, which unfortunately ended in a loss, scoring 22 points with 9 rebounds and 5 steals. However, Collier needs to take care of her turnovers. Currently, Phee averages 18.25 points with 8.25 rebounds and 4 steals per game. Meanwhile, Stewie too is trying to have her hands on the trophy.

The Liberty #30 has tried to improve her offensive game with every matchup excluding the most recent one. However, nothing comes close to her 30 points in Game 3 where she notched 22 of the 45 team’s total in the second half. Currently, she averages 22 points with 10 rebounds. And therefore, she too can take home the title if the Liberty outdo the Lynx in the Championship Finale.

However, fans don’t have to wait for long as Sunday’s matchup will reveal the ultimate winner. As of now, they would also like to have a snap of Reese in the combined jersey, if she secures one while cheering for both sides.
