There is no denying that Angel Reese is an icon. Whatever she does hits the headlines. While Reese has received a lot of applause for her exceptional balling skills, her fans have speculated the prime force behind her display. Recently, Reese came forward to speak about her spiritual beliefs.

Giving the audience a glimpse of her faith, she opened up about what has propelled her so far. And fans were excited to hear the same. Angel Reese spoke of her spiritual side during an interview, and the clip for the same was posted on ‘TJ Sports Queen’. Reese’s admission had every fan swooning over her.

Angel Reese talks about her spiritual side

Reese was present with her coach, Teresa Weatherspoon, and answered a lot of questions, including inviting Michael Jordan to her game. One such question that caught the fancy of many was of her religious side. Angel Reese showed how, while being a big star, she is quite religious.

“I wanna say yesterday in the WNBA, I didn’t know they had a chapel. So the first time yesterday was the first time I ever went to chapel and it’s… it’s been amazing. I’ve always prayed and stuff before the game. But just like,being able to see like, all of us, being able to come together, and, it’s just not our team. It’s the other team as well and like, just come together and pray for things that obviously that we want in life and she was telling us yesterday like there’s no limitations on having faith on things that you want,” Angel Reese stated, adding, “Being able to have that in the league, I think is really important because for me, I’m really big on what got me here and God I wouldn’t be able to do it without God so being able to have that… I love that about the league, like being able to have chapel, like chapel is something that I really, really, really love.”

Reese had previously also opined that she prays before every game. She had admitted that “I pray before every game, so that’s my time to get my prayer together by myself,” in an interview with LSU Country. She also revealed that she “read my demotion every morning.” Other than that, Angel Reese also opined at that time that in March 2023, she had come closer to God, during her pursuit of the NCAA title.

What’s next for Angel Reese?

Just like her NCAA days, Reese is currently trying to become a mainstay for the Chicago Sky. And hopefully, her on-song performances will accomplish that pretty soon. In her most recent game, she helped her team decimate the New York Liberty during the second preseason game with a 101-53 margin, contributing 13 points.

Angel Reese also contributed 13 points during her preseason debut. Reese would now be looking forward to her regular season debut against the Dallas Wings. She would most likely be playing that game since the Wings have a lot of players on the injury list. Recently, another rookie, Kamilla Cardoso, was on the injury list, leaving the franchise’s fans concerned.

But Angel Reese will try her best to ensure that it doesn’t hinder her team’s plans. Hopefully, her faith will help her cover the distance and come out on top once again.
