Indian Fever’s clash with the Chicago Sky is turning a lot of heads. Unsurprisingly, Clark’s rivalry with Reese is the main attraction point this season, and the ticket prices for the game only confirm this. As per CNN, the prices go up to $9000, giving even the NBA a run for their money – an increase of 116% from Chicago Bulls’ average ticket price last season.
Fever rookie Caitlin Clark came forward to speak her views on the exponentially rising ticket prices. Her reply also pointed out a way the WNBA could benefit more whenever they play in Chicago. In a YouTube short on the official handle of ESPN, Clark can be seen suggesting,“I saw the ticket prices, I guess the only thing is I’m surprised we’re not playing at the United Center.”
For the unversed, the Chicago Bulls play their home games at the United Center whereas the Sky play theirs at the Winstrust Arena, which has a seating capacity of 10,387. The United Center, meanwhile, has been a performing stage for many artists and also the highly acclaimed Chicago team and so boasts a capacity of 23,500 seats. “I thought that would have been really good for the game and really good for all the women’s basketball fans in Chicago. Maybe there’s a conflict of some sort that I don’t know about,” Clark further added.

As for the ticket prices, currently, the highest ticket at Ticket Master is priced at a whopping $5000. And a lot of agencies have reported that this is the most expensive WNBA game. There is such furor that as per ESPN the average ticket price of $351 has broken the records for the past 10 WNBA seasons.
Will Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese rivalry continue?
The most attractive part of the match is, no doubt, going to be the clash between Reese and Clark. While Reese had blamed the referees in their last matchup against the Fever when she had hit Clark on the head while going for a block and was given a flagrant foul 1, it remains to be seen if Reese will be able to win her first game against Clark in the WNBA as she has lost on both the previous occasions.

Clark on the other hand clarified that she didn’t consider it a rivalry and for her, it was “just a game of basketball.” This comes as an interesting take since Reese in one way or the either has been fanning the rivalry flames whereas Clark seems to be unaffected.
Now that Clark has spoken of the ticket prices and also indirectly given her feedback to the WNBA, fans will be curious to watch the two battle it out in future instances at bigger stadiums.
