A’ja Wilson might be keeping it low-key when it comes to her rumored romance with NBA star Bam Adebayo, but that’s not stopping her from showing love where it counts. While fans are still waiting for some tea on her personal life, Wilson just dropped a swoon-worthy comment on her ex-teammate’s romantic post.
Wilson’s championship-winning teammate Allisha Gray celebrated her 30th birthday on the 12th of January. The Las Vegas Aces star did more than just share a throwback picture of the two on her Instagram stories. “Hope your day is as bright as your jacket,” she wrote, sharing an image of the two with Gray in what seems to glow-in-the-dark jacket.
But love flowed from everywhere for the Atlanta Dream, notably so by her boyfriend, Tim Mangum Jr.

Gray and Magnum’s relationship first majorly took notice when the former Gamecock attended the Read to Final Four event in Dallas, Texas, to promote the new children’s book her boyfriend in 2023. However, the latter did first share their relationship back in 2021, wishing her on the Valentine’s. But they have remained rather private ever since. An echo similar to Wilson.
The Aes icon and Adebayo were first spotted together during the 2024 Olympic training camp. They have made several appearance since– Dwyane Wade’s statue unveiling, a little shopping in Paris, courtside attendance, and even a private dinner the Heat star’s Bourbun launch. That must have been the last sighting of the two together but a few eagle-eyed fans recently noticed that Bam is the only one after Instagram Threads that Wilson follows on the platform.
Despite the noise now evident, the two basketball stars have chosen to maintain their silence. But in cheering others up, count on A’ja Wilson.

Wilson and Allisha Gray’s dynamic goes back to 2017 when the two helped Gamecocks clinch the first of three of Dawn Staley’s championships. The 2024 W MVP was a dominant force, earning NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player honors and averaging 16.2 points and 12.0 rebounds per game that season. Gray, a crucial contributor, averaged 13.6 points and 5.3 rebounds.
Fast forward to 2024 and their bond reflects just as loud. As Allisha became the first player to win both the WNBA Skill’s Challenge and 3-Point Contest this past All-Star weekend, loudest of fans were A’ja and Staley. The Gamecocks HC was in flight as she caught up on the games, while Wilson sat courtside, recorded, cheered, and posted.
“LETS F**KING GO LISH!!! GET THAT BAG!!!” she had written, followed by “I’m so happy for Lish man OMG! I’m not paying for another dinner my friend a shootah.” They next played together on the same team during the 2023 All-Star when Wilson, as a captain drafted her alongside fellow Gamecock Aliyah Boston. We may not hear much of the Aces’ star’s private life, but love, we know she has in abundance.
