2x WNBA champion A’ja Wilson is truly unstoppable when she sets her mind on winning. Tonight, she displayed yet another performance that proved the same. Making the run, controlling the pace, grabbing buckets, sweeping rebounds, what did the Aces star not do? And this was not something she did just tonight against Caitlin Clark and Co. Hence, along with the 99-80 win over Indiana, she also picked up her 80th double-double of her WNBA career. But one more thing set her apart with tonight’s number.

Nick Hamilton of the ‘SiriusXM’ shared a tweet to announce her huge achievement in the league. Sharing a video of the sass queen A’ja Wilson, he captioned the tweet, A’ja Wilson has 102 pts /51 rebs thus far this season. She’s the only player in (the WNBA) history with 100+ PTS / 50+ REB in the first four games of a season. #ALLINLV.”

Tonight, the reigning WNBA Finals MVP had 29 points along with 15 rebounds for the Aces. Las Vegas, who has been setting industry standards for the entire league, truly found a gem with this brilliant South Carolina product. And not only is she a great strategy-maker on the floor but is a big help and support for all of her teammates. In fact, as one of the first players chosen to the current Aces that we all know, she became a vet and an elder sister to the team’s defensive weapon Jackie Young.

How does A’ja Wilson ‘Aces’ Las Vegas?

Grabbing a whopping 102 points in just 4 games and 2 consecutive WNBA titles should be proof enough of how this stellar power forward keeps her team in the top tiers of the league. But if that’s not enough, Wilson has many more ways to keep the Las Vegas team up in the hot topics. Reigning down as Dawn Staley’s trusted Gamecock, A’ja Wilson makes sure she contributes in more ways than one.

Her unselfish behavior ensures that the team wins even if she does not score as much. Moreover, Wilson is one heck of a playmaker who has grabbed 400+ assists in her 6-year-long WNBA career. Not to mention, she is climbing the ladder for all-time leading rebounders in the league quite quickly with 1,687 rebounds so far. Last year, Wilson averaged 9.5 rebounds a game, the second-highest in the league, along with a league-leading 2.2 blocks per game. While this season is still young, A’ja has started off strong.

She is averaging 12 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game on top of 24.3 PPG. If the Aces manage to dominate the regular season, Wilson should run away with her 3rd MVP trophy while cementing her status as an all-time great.

Moreover, A’ja Wilson is also always improving at a personal level with a thirst to be the best payer out there. Chiney Ogwumike recently pointed out one quality of the 6-ft-4 hooper, and that is to add numbers to her previous season’s average. With a need to improve, win, and be a great leader, A’ja Wilson definitely makes the Aces arguably the best team in the league.
