Being in unison with her team’s rebranding colors, A’ja Wilson is sporting a whole new look. The 2x WNBA Champion recently appeared for an interview donning silver hair and a black and white Aces jersey. The Aces’ rebranding occurred before the college basketball’s March Madness arrived. Per the release, the colors hold an additional value. Where on the one hand, the silver color carries with itself an expression of modern, elegant, and sharpness, the black color being the strongest of all colors, represents power, authority, and protection.

While there is that, A’ja Wilson today encountered a query related to the shoe deal controversy involving her and the WNBA rookie, Caitlin Clark. Like always, Wilson has a rather productive take on things like these.

It might not have bothered the 2x WNBA champ as much of a thing as it has bothered the fans all around. A’ja Wilson, despite spending more than half a decade in the WNBA, hasn’t been able to ink a signature shoe deal. Giving more fire to the blithering cause is the fact that Caitlin Clark has already signed a deal long before she set foot in the WNBA.

Coming back to the interview, Wilson was asked if she is affected by this or if her mind is set on winning her third straight title. To this, Wilson says, “Yeah, that’s really not on my mind. I feel like it’s been on a lot of people’s minds for a long long time and I appreciate everyone out there that is constantly giving the support,” thanking her fans for their constant support for her and her team.

However, she added by saying, “But, right now, uh I got some shoes that I’m hooping in which is the LeBron 21s and I’m going to take those on with my team any day right now. We’re going to go have fun out there. But, right now I can’t even focus on that. It’s not even about that bigger than that and that’s when that’s honestly my team and I’m going be around for them no matter what,” describing her team and the game is bigger than having a shoe deal for herself. In addition, she mentioned having her LeBron 21s which were gifted to her by King James himself before the team went against the New York Liberty in the 2023 WNBA Finals.

As far as Clark is concerned, she has played a major role in changing people’s perspectives about women’s basketball positively. Her record-breaking demonstrations in the NCAA left the fans wanting more. That’s why wherever she goes, they come flocking behind. Just like Wilson, Clark too is a star of her era. Both of them are exceptional players in their own right.

So, drawing comparisons between the two over a shoe deal isn’t doing right by either of them. Well, now that brings us back to A’ja Wilson and what her off-the-court charisma has done. Let’s take a look at her journey through her recent ventures.

Wilson’s endeavors this past off-season

Spreading happiness everywhere, A’ja Wilson has always been considered one of W’s brightest personalities. Despite being dyslexic, Wilson never limited herself to just being that, instead she fought her demons and shot for the stars. As a result, she is one of New York Times best-selling authors. Can you imagine a dyslexic writing a book, quite contradictory ain’t it, but Wilson overcame that too.
