For months now, WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson and Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo have been at the center of dating rumors. And while neither of them has confirmed the whispers, their actions keep fueling the fire. Social media sleuths have caught them on lunch dates, sharing playful handshakes at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and attending ceremonies like Dwyane Wade’s statue unveiling. Today, the case in point is the LV Aces star showing up to support Bam’s latest business venture in Miami. 

The two were spotted together at a private dinner celebrating Bam’s bourbon launch, and, well, fans are now more convinced than ever that these two might just be the real deal. A Twitter handle confirmed the WNBA star’s dinner presence by sharing a few pictures, where the Las Vegas Aces star sat beside Adebayo, with a wide smile on her face as he raised a toast. “Bam is launching a bourbon drink and A’ja is there too,” the post read. 

A few days back, they were photographed at Bam, Books, and Brotherhood Thanksgiving Twist in Liberty City. But this time, Bam is diving headfirst into Kentucky’s $9 billion bourbon market.

The Miami Heat star recently partnered with Maker’s Mark to launch a limited-edition bourbon bottle called Bam & Marilyn’s 1 of 1. The name? It’s a heartfelt nod to his mother, Marilyn, who is just as much a part of this project as he is.

During an intimate dinner at Klaw Miami to celebrate the launch, Bam shared how meaningful this collaboration has been for him. “My mom is my inspiration on and off the court,” he said. “It was a great experience to create our own custom blend of Maker’s Mark. Bam & Marilyn’s 1 of 1 celebrates what my mom and I both love best about the iconic Kentucky bourbon.”

He has been vocal about his love for his mom and has shared the spotlight with her. Back in 2020, after signing his massive contract extension, he bought her a house. And who can forget that viral Mother’s Day moment during the 2023 NBA playoffs when Marilyn called her son mid-postgame presser?

But obviously, while Bam and Marilyn do have a lovely bond, it’s the A’ja sightings that have people talking. And the timing couldn’t be better with A’ja Wilson fresh off another stellar WNBA season. Also, this comes after a graphic went quite viral on the internet.

Bleacher Report recently shared a graphic ranking the top 20 NBA players, as decided by Charles Barkley, Shaq, and Kenny Smith. But what fans noticed was the 18 hidden “Easter eggs” in the graphic. One of those Easter eggs was a portrait of Bam Adebayo… wearing an Aces jersey with heart hands around the number 22 of Wilson.

The internet went wild with jokes and speculation, with many claiming this subtle nod was proof that the two are more than just friends. Even the Miami Heat couldn’t resist getting in on the fun. As one fan tweeted, “They are never beating the allegations.”

The rumored couple was first spotted at Team USA’s training camp in Las Vegas ahead of the Paris Olympics. Weeks in, there were seen on a little shopping date in the city of lights and exchanging a handshake unique to them as US women’s basketball clinched the gold. Bam has constantly been dropping, what may come as hints for fans rooting for the two, since then — adding an apostrophe after an ‘A’ or just the first letter in his tweets.

“everybody finds A’thousand reasons to smile on this lovely Sunday,” he wrote after Wilson hit her 1000 points this past season.

Now, many are wondering if A’ja will take her support courtside during the NBA season. After all, what’s a little more speculation when the rumors are already swirling?
