A’ja Wilson Dismisses Copper Flagg and Co. Laughing off Hypothetical Match Up

A’ja Wilson is as funny of a player as they come. And with her book all released and done, she is in the fully loaded mode of quirky replies. This is what she did when she had “all the time” to scrape off her haters from her porch. Surprisingly, some of them want to see her play with a men’s high school team because they have been smashing the hardwood too.

The two-time WNBA champion had a clever response to the idea as she talked with Complex Sports to shut down some propositions.

A’ja Wilson simply dismisses absurd proposition

Recently, the WNBA Finals MVP talked with Complex Sports and played their “I Got Time Today” game. The video was also posted by the WNBA’s official Instagram page. Here, she was given a series of suggestions, greetings, and roasts from various people. Funny enough, the very first flashcard gave her the creeps. Jay Peso, who is a boxing events observer, suggested A’ja something very different. It was, “Imagine the Las Vegas playing Montverde Academy boys’ team. Those win by 30 points.”

The two-time WNBA Defensive Player of the Year surely instantly ripped the flash card with a cold look. She then replied, “Y’all just said a grown a**, professional team playing against high school boys. Grown women entertaining high school boys. That does not sound right. So please leave that narrative alone. Thank you.” The Montverde Academy is Cooper Flagg’s team which has been performing well this season.

But her friends and fans were not the only ones who became part of this game. In fact, Complex Sports also gave a compliment from their end.

Complex Sports also added their snippet from the 2023 WNBA post-game conference. Their video was captioned, “We all need to be as lit as A’ja Wilson.” Apparently, at the press conference, A’ja was 6 bottles of champagne down. To this, A’ja replied, “100%! No. 1 press conference. Probably the littest I’ve ever been at the pros. I suggest everybody do that.”

A’ja Wilson knows what she is doing. It is also good to see that she can sweep the floor with the haters and uncomfortable suggestions in a calm and collected manner. However, soon she will be up on the ropes again as she trains for the next WNBA tournament.
