It all started a few days before the 2024 Paris Olympics kicked off. It was right when A’ja Wilson, 28, and Bam Adebayo, 27, were spotted spending time together during the Team USA Camp. While they remained secretive, several cryptic posts on social media gave it away bit by bit. But none of that anymore.
Though Wilson and Adebayo have given fans and spectators many reasons to believe they are dating, remaining tight-lipped about each other’s names seems to be their thing. After indirectly addressing Adebayo as her favorite Olympian weeks ago, Wilson has found a new way to dodge taking his name.
In an exclusive interview with The People, The LV Aces star was asked about her Valentine’s Day plans. “My plans are here at NBA All-Star,” shared Wilson after she attended Chase Cashback Courts at NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco.

Then, with a knowing smile, she added, “My NBA All-Star is not here.” Well, she was referring to Adebayo, who didn’t make it to the 2025 All-Star team. Instead, he was taking some time off to rest, something Wilson ensured to emphasize. “And that’s the best Valentine gift that I can truly give him, is just the rest,” she said.

Even if they refuse to take names, this wasn’t the first aww moment she gave us. “Because of that favorite Olympian, you see the best of me. Because of the care and the support that not a lot of people see all the time,” Wilson had shared via Elle, reasoning her gesture to thank Bam during her jersey retirement.
The 2024 MVP shares their relationship is all about uplifting each other and never shying away from moments. Even as she explained the heartwarming moments, the name remained out of her mouth. The truth wasn’t out during the interview with PEOPLE either.
When asked about whether she and Adebayo were officially calling themselves each other’s Valentines, Wilson burst into laughter and shared, “I mean…” before changing the subject to her Nike shoes’ debut. Speaking of that…

A’ja Wilson tries to keep it private, but the clues aren’t stopping
The Aces star’s newly revealed Nike signature shoes have certainly been the talk of the town. Attribute that not just to the features added for comfortability and performance, but the personalized details Wilson has dived into. The Celtic symbols for “mom” and “dad,” a pearl finish that is a nod to her late grandmother-gifted necklace, a quote that speaks of her, and her signature logo to seal it off. But looks like there’s one thing the audience missed on.
“@_ajawilson22 just told me about this hidden jewel….. inside lining with the A’One logo and swoosh…..and the B is for Black Label and/or not the character on the Flintstones. If you’re old enough to get that you’re pretty darn good! 🤭🤭🤭” her former coach Dawn Staley had shared a picture emphasizing the “B” beside the logo. While Wilson had responded to Staley’s review earlier, she stayed away from commenting on this one. However, we weren’t void of a Bam-A’one moment either.
The Miami Heat star stepped onto the court in those newly unveiled shoes last week.

“It was super dope. It was a moment,” she shared. Obviously, he didn’t just wear the shoes; he wanted to be at the forefront of promoting them. And why not? Last year, when Adebayo launched his Bourbon brand, Wilson was right there at the private dinner, beaming as he raised a toast. Even when he received a key to Miami-Dade County for winning Olympic gold, she made her trip all the way from Vegas to be by his side. Yet, A’ja Wilson changes the topic.
