A’ja Wilson’s great sense of humour often lightens the mood. She’s known to engage with her teammates in a funny way during games. She one time crashed Kelsey Plum’s interview during the WNBA All-Star Game. Also, after the team won the 2023 WNBA finals, Wilson hilriously asked Usher to come out for the Aces parade.

Wilson has now found a new target. Taking hilarious dig at her teammate, the ace is only living by her jolly nature.

After taking an amusing jab at Sydney Colson, A’ja is back with her signature humor. The freshly re-signed Aces guard Candace Parker is at the receiving end of this banter. One of A’ja’s recent Istagram stories showcase Parker’s photo announcing her return for the upcoming season. A’ja, being herself, wrote on the story, “damn took long enough.”

Notably, Parker during the 2023 WNBA season had suffered a foot injury. This led her to undergo surgery on a fracture that had occured in her left foot, which the Aces eventually announced in July. Before surgery, Parker had been playing with that fracture all season.

Following a constant pain, Parker ascertained that the only way to be healthy again and avoid further damage to the fracture was to have the surgery. Hence, Parker stepped aside for the rest of the season to recover.

Now that she is coming back, what could be expected from her and the team that lifted another title last year?

Return of the Ace decoded

Picking up things where they left off, the Las Vegas Aces re-signed the 2x MVP. Hence, her return to the Aces is being seen as a bid to win their third consecutive WNBA championship title.

On the other hand, Parker having 3 championship rings and average 9 points and 5.4 rebounds under her belt befor going into surgery last season, will be eyeing another title shot.

But despite her absence last season, the Aces moved ahead and set the league record by beating the New York Liberty in all four games of the WNBA finals. Now, most likely Parker’s return could strengthen and bring more conformity to the team’s newfound endeavor for a three-peat.
