Angel Reese has advanced women’s sports in her own right. After NCAA, she is prepping up for her next task – the WNBA. As is the ritual before she debuts in her first pre-season game, Reese is with her team Chicago Sky, and trying to blend in with the team in the training camp. Amid all the sweat and hard work, Reese’s youngest fan had a message for the 21-year-old.

Reese’s agent Jeanine Ogbonnaya brought forth the former’s youngest fan who wished her from his side. A story of the same was posted on the Instagram account of Ogbonnaya.

Ogbonnaya’s son Christopher Jr. was seen sporting the Chicago Sky t-shirt and stating “Happy 2nd day of camp aunty.” The story had tags for both Reese’s official Instagram account and the franchise’s account.

Ogbonnaya married a retired NFL running back Chris Ogbonnaya in August 2021 and gave birth to their son Christopher Kalu Irem Ogbonnaya Jr. in June 2022. She has been Reese’s agent since the former’s time at the Maryland Terrapins, and has seen the Bayou Barbie grow in stature and fame. Hence, it is fitting that she and her family have close relations with Reese.

Reese decided not to use her extra year of COVID-19 eligibility and declared for the WNBA draft. Though Reese couldn’t finish on a glorious high in the NCAA, nonetheless she would be satisfied since she already had had a touch of the NCAA trophy in 2022-23. Then in April, she was the seventh overall pick by the Chicago Sky. Reese’s agent Ogbonnaya deserves equal credit for getting her drafted in the WNBA. And Reese must be taking this into account as she prepares for the cash-rich league.

Reese would next be seen battling it out against the Minnesota Lynx on May 3. This would be her first preseason game before she takes on New York Liberty. Then on May 15, Reese will most probably make her regular season debut against the Dallas Wings. Fans would be hopeful that Reese brings her uniqueness of double-doubles to the table like she did when she played for the Louisiana State University Lady Tigers.

Perhaps, this was the support Reese needed to get her daily dose of motivation. It not only demonstrates Reese’s closeness to Ogbonnaya but also shows how Reese has become a household name and is recognized by even kids. This can also be attributed to Ogbonnaya’s hard work as an agent.
