With Megan Thee Stallion's support, is Angel Reese set to dominate the WNBA?

There isn’t much time left for the All-Star game to grace the WNBA court for the year 2024. For the first time since 2015, the spectacle presents the opportunity for everyone to witness the participation of not one but two rookies. However, by the looks of some interesting and recent social media exploits it is not only the fans who are eager to experience the union of adversaries Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.

An X conversation between the ferocious Chicago rookie Angel Reese and hip-hop phenom Lakeyah Danaee Robinson is gaining a lot of traction. Simply because it points towards what a star-studded affair the upcoming All-Star game will turn out to be. Seemingly, it all started when Reese extended an indirect invitation to the 23-year-old through a tweet, “i love me some @lakeyah”.

Following this, Robinson didn’t take much time to decrypt Reese’s wish. She declared that she would be in attendance for her All-Star appearance. Lakeyah expressed it with the help of a post captioned, “Gotta come see u play in the Allstar game.” Thrilled by this development, Angel Reese conveyed a heartwarming welcome to the eminent television personality. She capped off the conversation by writing, “see you soonnnnn,” to go along with a kissing emoji.

Evidently, this is not the first time the 3x All-American forward went through such kind of admiration from a music artist. Earlier, 3x Grammy Award winner Megan Thee Stallion commended her skills on the Club Shay Shay Podcast. Considering her as a twin, she went on and resonated her basketball skills to that of Chicago’s dynamic No.5.

Apart from this, the other topic which has garnered focus is the Rookie Of The Year discussion. Nonetheless, it appears that a popular football entity has a way to settle the debate.

What does Myles Garrett think about the ROTY debate featuring Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese?

A rather unusual but effective solution to the whole scenario was put forth by the defensive end for the Cleveland Browns recently. Talking to the Heavy Sports, he said, “Can we do a co? That’s been done before”. Although history provides a contrasting reality to what Garret opines. Never before in the WNBA has the Rookie Of The Year award been shared between 2 athletes.

Nonetheless, he further added, “I mean, Reese has been playing well with her streak of double-doubles. But Caitlin has been putting up great numbers as a rookie, as well. Honestly, great numbers for just, in general”. Both the former NCAA phenoms are the frontrunners in this race as they have made some significant headlines as newcomers. Apparently, Caitlin Clark is currently the first rookie in WNBA history to register 400 points, 1oo rebounds and 150 assists next to her name. Simultaneously, Angel Reese made her campaign historic by hitting 15 consecutive double-doubles.

Suggestions and opinions will continue in this regard for many more days to come. What is interesting for the fans is that both these ballers are leaving no stone unturned in providing some thorough entertainment. We will have to wait and see what will be the end result of their exhibition.
