A star-studded evening took place at the Footprint Center in Phoenix. In a mouth-watering clash, Team WNBA toppled the Olympic-bound Team USA Women’s National Team 117-109. The sold-out arena had some very high-profile names which also included eminent NCAA rivals of Caitlin Clark, such as Paige Bueckers and Flau’jae Johnson. However, both had to face slight disappointments by the end of the night as their specific appeals were turned down by the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer.

Caitlin Clark made quite a reputation for herself with her sublime connections from beyond the arc. However, the crowd witnessed her hesitating tonight as there were only 7 attempts from the 3-point range. Meanwhile, the LSU star Johnson sitting courtside began “pointing at half court telling her to shoot from there” as Bueckers “went on the court to hug and talk” to Clark. Well, it seems like Johnson’s request didn’t seem to have an effect on her as she didn’t make any attempts at the suggested deep shots.

Anyhow, for another wish of Johnson, it was totally unrelated to Clark’s game. She was only seeking Caitlin Clark’s jersey which she asked for just after the game ended. Sadly, that wasn’t to be as the 6-foot-guard smiled and went in the other direction.

Nonetheless, the LSU standout’s night might still turn out to be a delight as there is a chance she winds up with the jersey of 2xWNBA All-Star MVP Arike Ogunbowale. Johnson took to her X and wrote, “I just asked Arike for her jersey (three laughing emojis) let’s see what happens.” Talking about the MVP, with her second such honor, she joined Lisa Leslie, Swin Cash, and Maya Moore’s company to have this honor multiple times in her professional basketball career.

As it turns out, these two weren’t the only two popular faces in the crowd. The star-studded All-Star game also had a handful of stars from the non-basketball world. Here are who attended the game tonight.
