After 52 days out, Cameron Brink's return—How crucial is she for the Sparks' success?

‘Girls just wanna have fun’ gets onto a completely different level with Cameron Brink in the driver’s seat. The Los Angeles Sparks rookie may not have been her fittest self due to the ACL tear, but it is not putting any brakes on how she chooses to enjoy her life. While she is unable to wear the purple and gold jersey right now, the reigning Naismith Defensive Player of the Year is always hyping up her team. Something, she did again with a locker room dance alongside rookie Rickea Jackson.

The very first signs the LA loyalists saw of their WNBA team bonding was them making reels. Cameron Brink, of course, led the charge. However, within 15 games, she had to give up her dream to play basketball on the backburner. Now, she dresses up and shows up for her team at home games as they try to get the better of the visitors. This not only allows her to nurse her injured knee back to health with rest but also lets her spend some time with the Sparks squad.

One of the ways that she has certainly found helpful is dancing. Recently, the official Instagram account of Overtime WBB shared a post of the LA girls dancing in the locker room. Admiring Brink, they wrote, “Even with crutches she’s still gonna hit the locker room dance 🥹 @cameronbrink22.” In one of the videos, the girls can be seen dancing to ‘Shooters’ by Lil Tecca.

Tara VanDerveer’s prodigy has never stepped off of her fashion game even after entering a much more competitive professional league. In fact, her stylist Mary Gonsalves Kinney has only escalated the outfit game for the client she recently praised for having the Physique of a Goddess. Despite her ACL tear, Cameron Brink is not keeping her outfits boring.

The Sparks rookie recently dumped a series of photos for her 1.3m Instagram followers. While the summer is already in full swing, Brink only added to the heat with her bikini photos. Along with those, she even has photos with her dog, Olive, and a few insiders peek into her recovery. A few dates with her long-time boyfriend Ben Felter aren’t missing her stories either.

While the season did not go for the second overall pick as she may have wished for, it is always good to see her resilience to look at the silver lining. Not only is the rookie making the most of her injury-laden year, but she is also making sure that her teammates know she’s always there.
