Reese and Clark again showed their star power when the duo made it to the WNBA All-Star 12-woman team. Thus, they added another glory to their long list of accomplishments. Brown was asked about how the duo have been a boon for the WNBA. The 29-year-old shared the difference between how rookies were treated during the early years of the WNBA to rookies just now. “Yeah it’s been every everything – I mean you see like other players are benefiting from it. It’s not just them, it’s not just this rookie class,” Brown said via Gil’s Arena

Brown also segued into how she is happy seeing the rookies on the floor as a decade ago, the WNBA usually didn’t give enough chances to rookies, according to her. They were benched the whole time which didn’t help in bringing their NCAA fans to the WNBA. She also went on to state that the rookies suffered since, “(they) were just buried on the bench. Their confidence crushed like snuffed out and then the next season they’re like ‘oh well! you’re not good enough, so we’re gonna just cut you. Or we’re going to put you on another team because we don’t think you belong here.’”

“I mean I’d barely played my rookie season. I wish I had the opportunity to get on the court my rookie year,” ended Brown with regrets.

Notably, since Reese’s and Clark’s admission into the league the attendance has touched heights. The two sensations have broken various viewership records on TV. The Las Vegas Aces clash with the Indiana Fever attracted the largest WNBA crowd of 20,366 fans at the T-Mobile Arena. Meanwhile, the same was reflected in WNBA All-Star voting. Last year, A’ja Wilson received the most votes (95,860) for the WNBA All-Star game.
