Dirk Nowitzki, who stands at a height of 7 feet 2 inches, is hailed as one of the best power forwards in basketball history and is widely regarded as the greatest European player of all time. Satou Sabally has been a standout performer in the WNBA this season. She has been constantly putting up career-high numbers, putting her in a class of her own. Sabally has averaged a phenomenal 17.6 points, 9.3 rebounds, 4 assists and 1.5 steals per game.

Owing to her performance this season, even Dirk Nowitzki couldn’t stop raving about her. He said, ?I?m so happy for her. She?s worked extremely hard. She?s gotten better from year to year.” He also finds her fun to watch.

Merely a day after high praise from Nowitzki, Satou Sabally earned a significant honor in the WNBA. The Dallas Wings player won the coveted honor of 2023’s Most Improved Player in the WNBA.

Sabally had a stellar 2023 season, averaging a stunning 18.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. Sabally’s early-season performance of seven straight double-doubles set a new franchise record. In addition to recording her first triple-double of her career, she finished the season with a total of 14 double-doubles, placing fifth in the league.

Apart from her individual performance, Sabally also led the Dallas Wings to the playoffs three years in a row.

The Dallas Wings head to the semifinals

The Dallas Wings have advanced into the WNBA semifinals with a convincing victory over the Atlanta Dream. The Wings dominated the game, winning convincingly 101-74 on Tuesday night in Arlington. This victory was historic, being the franchise’s first in a playoff series since 2009.

The Wings will face the Las Vegas Aces for the semifinals. Being the top-seeded team and the defending WNBA champions, the Aces present the Wings with a daunting test. With a stellar record of 34-6 and victories in three of the team’s four regular-season games against the Wings, the Aces have been a dominant force all season.
