Does Jalen Milroe deserve Heisman buzz after his stellar performance against Georgia? Let's hear your thoughts!

Not necessarily do the professionals have to be confined within their sports, as they can at least watch and explore some other ones for enjoyment purpose. Not sure about many, but Dawn Staley’s passion definitely stretches beyond basketball—she’s got a soft spot for football, too. Just days ago, she was on the hunt for Travis Hunter’s jersey, and now she’s soaking up the weekend, reveling in the excitement of football once again.

The 54-year-old head coach took to her X account and tweeted, “Thought I set my Saturday night up for a great game……it is but only for one team…Tide! Now I have to cheer for Georgia to make it a game. Chill yall Tide….I just want a great game!.” It looks like she’s settled in to watch Alabama Crimson Tide take on Georgia Bulldogs, but with the Bulldogs trailing as the second quarter winds down, Staley’s just hoping for a bit more excitement on the field.

Alabama has found its hero in Jalen Milroe, who’s now leading the Heisman race, overtaking Miami’s Cam Ward in most sportsbooks. After guiding the Crimson Tide to a commanding 28-0 lead against the No. 2 Bulldogs, Milroe’s performance has been nothing short of stellar. In the first half alone, he already rushed for two touchdowns and flawlessly completed all nine of his passes.

Well, Staley is calling on Alabama to slow things down a bit so she can enjoy a more evenly matched game. It’s hard to forget that just a week ago, she was on a mission to find Travis Hunter’s jersey.

Dawn Staley’s passion for football

Just last week, the Big 12 witnessed an epic showdown between the Colorado Buffaloes and Baylor Bears, with the Buffaloes fighting for a comeback. Down 31-24, Shedeur Sanders launched a stunning Hail Mary to tie the game, sending it into overtime. But it was Buffs star Travis Hunter who stole the spotlight, making a clutch play that not only helped secure a 38-31 victory but also set social media ablaze. His stellar performance earned him a new fan in none other than the legendary Dawn Staley.

The South Carolina Gamecocks coach couldn’t hold back her excitement for Colorado star Travis Hunter. Taking to X, she celebrated his standout performance, which saw him rack up seven receptions and 130 receiving yards. “Two words that are names… TRAVIS HUNTER!!! Goodness!!!”, tweeted Staley. But Staley didn’t stop there—later, she was back on social media, asking for a little help in tracking down Hunter’s jersey.

After being blown away by Travis Hunter’s performance, Dawn Staley had one thing on her mind—getting his jersey. But when she couldn’t find it in stores, she took matters into her own hands. Staley tweeted directly at the Buffaloes’ official account, saying, “Hey @CUBuffsFootball… I need a Travis Hunter jersey ASAP! I ain’t hard to find! 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you in advance!” It’s clear that Staley has been a big Buffs supporter this season, even predicting their win against Colorado State during Game 3 of “College GameDay.”

Dawn Staley’s love for sports clearly goes beyond basketball, as she continues to show her passion for football. Whether it’s cheering for Alabama or hunting down a Travis Hunter jersey, she’s all in!
