The law in favor of college students earning through NILs was released in June 2021, and has truly changed the world of basketball. Not only has it financially supported the popular and standout players, but it has also brought eyes to the league. Cameron Brink, among the many, was at the center of hype due to her NIL presence. But now that she is moving to the professional world, she reminisces how name, image, and likeness deals have been a turnover for her.

Stanford’s tallest DPOY and Tara VanDerveer’s prodigy were not just stellar on the floor. But off of it, she boasted a tenth rank and an NIL valuation of $297,000. Talking about how it affected her, she shared her thoughts on Podcast P with Paul George’. Brink said, “It’s a lot. But I’m so glad it’s been a thing because now I have a nest to lay eggs. I have wealth that I can put away and invest and be smart about money. It’s been great. It’s been life-changing for sure.” She also explained her experience handling school, basketball, and deals.

Brink told Paul George, “My first one ever was Celsius. Now, I’m with a different energy drink brand. But it’s just like crazy that feels like so long ago, but the biggest help has been my mom and dad. Like they’re momager and dadager. Now with CA. They’re like the best. They have kept me grounded, helped me take a lot off my plate because Stanford’s no joke. You have to balance school, basketball, and then you have to worry about working with the brand.” Cameron Brink has enjoyed some truly amazing deals. Her collection of brands included Urban Outfitters, New Balance, Stanley, RITZ crackers, and Bumble. While the concept of NILs is no longer applicable to her, she is still catching some big fish.
