There is no denying that fans would absolutely love a face-off between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. These two athletes have been in two of the most classic NCCA battles over the past two years. However, the Chi-town Barbie, has her eyes set on clashing some of the other big-time ballers of the sport.

Angel Reese will begin her highly anticipated professional debut on Wednesday against the Wings. But before she kicks off the proceedings, she lays it out about her desired matchups in the WNBA. After her practice session, the 6 ft 3 in forward interacted with the media where a reporter asked her if she was looking forward to any particular contest. Reese then replied, “I don’t know, I’ve always watched these players JJ, Stewie, A’ja.”

Sadly, the one name that Reese was eager to go up against was 3x WNBA champion Candace Parker. Reese further added, “Candace is not playing anymore. I’ve always looked forward to playing against Candace.” The 2016 WNBA Finals MVP recently hung up her basketball boots. The instrumental reason behind her decision to step down is her substantial time off the court due to recurring injuries. Apparently, Parker was forced to sit for the majority of her previous season because of a fractured foot that was followed by surgery.

Nonetheless, there are still quite a handful of encounters that the three-time All-American can get her hands on.

After facing Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu in her second pre-season game, she will meet them once again on the 23rd after two consecutive games against Dallas. Following this, she will square off against Jewel Loyd and the Storms five days later. Angel’s next few opponents include her contemporaries in the form of Cameron Brink and Caitlin Clark. These two matchups are lined up for Chicago on consecutive days. Then, the 2023 NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player will have to wait for almost a month to share the court with back-to-back WNBA champions the Las Vegas Aces. This game is expected to take place on 27 June.

Some enthralling encounters are waiting for Chicago’s new No.5. Consequently, it will be a delight for the fans to see her take the court against some of the very best of the game. We will have to wait and see how she deals with these upcoming challenges.
