It looks like Angel Reese is not just crazy about basketball. At least that’s what her latest tweet on X suggests. After months of exhausting college basketball, the 3x All-American forward finally gets some time to witness someone else in action. And her choice of sports turns out to be professional boxing. Ryan Garcia knocking Devin Haney down three times and handing him his first defeat seems to be the talk of the town at the moment. Additionally, it also had Chicago’s very own Chi-Barbie go berserk over it.
The 2023 national champion is having a nice time off the court. Following her hectic schedule that ended with her getting drafted by the Chicago Sky last week, Angel Reese relaxed herself with combat sports that transpired at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday night. The impressive victory secured by Ryan Garcia over Devin Haney managed to get the attention of the 21-year-old as she couldn’t resist and subsequently displayed her exhilaration on social media. On an X post, Reese tweeted, “omg this fight is crazyyyy.”

However, others were surprised to find out that Reese was a boxing fan. Nevertheless, it turned out to be an exciting evening for everyone involved.
Garcia knocked Haney down thrice on the night and eventually came out the winner via majority decision ((114-110, 115-109, 112-112). In the meantime, the 21-year-old Reese continues to get felicitations from some eminent personalities in the basketball world.

In a recent interview with People Magazine, he said, “The first thing I told her is I was proud of her. I am described as Angel’s understandable ear…I know things that she went through, I know what she’s going through, I know what’s about to happen to her, and I could give her advice.”
