Connor McCaffery missed the engagement—should career commitments take precedence over personal events?

Caitlin Clark was back in Iowa and it was time for some knee bending with yes at the end of it. No hold it! It’s not about Caitlin but the occasion was about her ‘role model’. Yes, her older brother, Blake Clark was the star of the show for a change and CC was all in about it. After all, it’s her brother’s engagement.

Clark couldn’t contain her excitement when Anna Tystahl dropped the news of her engagement to the eldest of the Clark siblings on Sunday. Anna shared a series of photos on Instagram flaunting her diamond ring with the caption, “Engaged to my bestest friend!!!💍 I will love you forever, Blake Clark 🤍” and the Indiana guard quickly congratulated them both with a heartwarming, “I love you two 🤍 can’t wait!!” comment.

Clark was a part of their special day as she was spotted in a photo going viral on social media, where she posed with the newly engaged couple and her younger brother, Colin. Anna was wearing the same outfit in both the posts so it can be assumed that it was an after party. Her friends and close ones too joined them for the celebration. Amid the joyous moment, one thing caught people’s attention and that was Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffery’s absence from the pictures.

For those wondering, Connor was fulfilling his duties in Indiana. The Butler Bulldogs had a game on Friday night, and as the new assistant coach, Connor had to stay with the team, which might not have allowed him to join the Clarks for the weekend. As a hard worker herself, Caitlin might have supported Connor’s decision to stay with his team, as she frequently shows her support from courtside.

Caitlin Clark extends her support for boyfriend Connor

When the Bulldogs made Connor’s signing official, Clark told the media, “It’ll be fun to go to those games.” And there she was on the sideline on November 4th, cheering for her boyfriend during his debut against Missouri State.

Have an interesting take?

But that wasn’t the only time. Just four days later, she was back at another game, this time spotted with Connor’s mother and younger brother, Jack, who had also been recruited by the team recently. On the third occasion, Clark was accompanying NBA star Tyrese Haliburton and his girlfriend, in the stands as all of them enjoyed the Bulldogs in action.

Caitlin Clark’s support for her boyfriend isn’t a one-way street. Connor also has been thoroughly by her side since the pair got together last year in April. Since then Connor has been a constant attendee to Clark’s Iowa games. Connor is yet to pop the question to Caitlin. When will that happen? While there’s no indication, we should certainly leave it for the lovebirds to decide.
