Simone Biles, a victorious gymnastics returnee, has many reasons to celebrate this year. The 26-year-old Houston resident cleared the allegations following her “twisties” episode in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Like a boss lady, Biles took a stand for the pressure at the top for the greatest athletes. However, she had the most amazing women in her life supporting her throughout her two-year professional break. Their joint support during the toughest phase of her life only made her overcome her mental block. A pair from her tribe are her devoted coaches, who helped her push the rigorous regimen for her biggest comeback this year.

Biles and her trainers, Laurent and Cecile Landi, have certainly come a long way since the trio first began working together in October 2017! With them, the gymnast was joined by her niece Ronni Biles, who has been Biles’s biggest supporter this year. Still months short from being a year old, the adorable little girl already joins in all of Simone’s favorite things. Recently, the tiny tot offered the most precious cheer as her aunts and Biles’ coaches were honored for their contributions.

Former artistic gymnasts and coaches Laurent Landi, and Cecile Canqueteau-Landi both trained Biles for several triumphant years. As Biles turned this month into an absolute banger with two U.S. National Championship wins at the same time, on August 26 at the San Jose Marriott, the Landi duo were inducted into the 2023 Hall of Fame. Although the 7X Olympic gold medalist couldn’t be present in person, her 9-month-old niece Ronni was there to support her aunts seen in an Instagram story shared by Biles’ sister-in-law Sammi.

The mommy-daughter duo were twinning in the picture wearing beige tees with flowers blooming around their slogans “in my baby/mom era.” Sammi and Ronni both flaunted the biggest smile as they posed for the picture. The story was captioned, “getting ready for @usagym hall of fame induction to go cheer auntie @cecilelandi & Laurent we love y’all! & congratulations much deserved.”

The induction ceremony started at 7:30 p.m. While both Biles and her coaches were present in the South Bay region, she was busy performing at SAP Center in the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships which began around five in the evening. Although, Biles was among the first ones to congratulate them on their Hall of Frame nomination earlier this year.

Gymnastics GOAT is just hours away from creating American history

In the wake of dominating the US Gymnastics Championships this weekend, there is also the possibility for Biles to set a new gymnastics record. A record that has been standing for almost 90 years and needs to be reinterpreted. In 1933, the all-time greatest male athlete in America Alfred Jochim won his seventh all-around championship. Let’s recap the current situation: Biles equalled Jochim’s 90-year record before taking a gymnastics hiatus in 2021. Ever since she’s been on the of surpassing him and establishing her own name as the Queen of all gymnastics disciplines.

In addition, the winningest gymnast is battling against Sunisa Lee, the all-around Olympic gold medallist to regain her reigning all-around status after the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Biles also missed having her signature Yurchenko double pike named after her in the Games. It may be Biles’ chance to have her distinctive YDP listed as her fifth move. Given the abundant prospects waiting for the Olympic returnee athlete, the fans are looking forward to her performance tomorrow.
