With Just Two Words, Aaron Rodgers Explains to the World His State After Worst Career Performance at Age 38

The Green Bay Packers traveled on a rainy day to Detroit to drown their sorrows in their NFC North clash on Sunday. Aaron Rodgers, however, struggled to show up for his team as he recorded one of his most poor performances in their loss to the Lions.

The Lions went into the game on a five-game losing streak. While the Packers took to the game post a disappointing trade deadline day showing and a two-game losing straight. The last one was a thumping loss to the Bills.

Bad day at the office for Aaron Rodgers

Allowing Rodgers for just one touchdown pass all game, Detroit kept him and his team at bay, with only 9 points against them. They ended up winning the game 15-9 on what was a very low-scoring day. Aaron Rodgers, who has been in the limelight lately for his poor showing, was expected to outdo himself. Unfortunately, the 2021 MVP did that, in a fashion, he wouldn’t want to remember. 

Rodgers was intercepted by the Lions’ defense three times and completed just 23 of his 43 attempted passes. This was the highest number of times his throws have been intercepted in his career. He showed signs of frustration as the game progressed.

The 38-year-old quarterback took to the podium as he answered the media in an honest post-game interview.

Dejected but honest

On his interceptions, he admitted to throwing bad passes and making wrong decisions. For someone that has mostly won for his time at Green Bay, he finds himself sitting at 3-6. To this Aaron Rodgers just shook his head and said “Yeah Pretty disappointed….That bout sums it up Bill, just disappointed.” He even reflected on the past seasons and talked about what the team did better previously, as he mentioned not having won any one-score games this year. 

Furthermore, a reporter even questioned him on whether he regretted his decision not to retire earlier in 2020, alluding to his visibly obvious on-field frustrations. Rodgers was quick to respond to that and called it an exaggeration as he said “frustration and miserability are two separate emotions” 

Additionally, the QB also said he has no regrets as when he does something he is all in. This year has been about learning a lot of life lessons for him, but he gave some hope to Packers’ fans. He said, “Luckily it’s not over. There are still a lot of games left. We’ll be counted out.. Probably by many and we’ll see how we respond.”.
