Thanos returns to Fortnite as a new skin
The Mad Titan has announced his return to the world of Fortnite. Thanos initially arrived in the game as part of the Infinity Gauntlet LTM during the release of Avengers: Infinity War. It became one of the most popular game modes in the history of the Epic Games developed title, and fans loved it. The character will now arrive as an outfit on the Item Shop next week on June 26 at 5 PM ET. Along with that, he will also have an Infinity Gauntlet inspired Back Bling as well with the Six Infinity Stones.
Players can also earn the skin early by competing in the Thanos Cup on June 21. They will team up as a Duo for a three-hour competition where they earn points by killing enemies and gaining placement points. The best performing duos from each region will earn the Outfit and the Back Bling almost five days before its release on the Item Shop.
Is Thanos’ arrival a signal for the return of the Avengers?
Thanos’ arrival on the Island marked the first major collaboration between Fortnite and the esteemed comic book company. Soon after, the Avengers also joined as part of a crossover during the release of Endgame in 2019. Finally, the Epic Games title blew everyone’s mind with a season full of collaboration last year during Chapter 2 Season 4. The Nexus War introduced new characters to the game like Wolverine, Galactus, Thor, Dr Doom, and many more.
