Brooklyn Nets lost their most recent game against a stacked Philadelphia 76ers. After going toe-to-toe with the 76ers, the Nets now are a game away from the top seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 37 wins and 18 losses.
The Hornets, on the other hand, suffered their third loss in a row as they were beaten by the Cavs. They now have a .500 record of 27 wins and 27 losses and are currently the eighth seed in the East.

The Nets will miss multiple stars through injuries. Spencer Dinwiddie is out for the rest of the season with a partial ACL tear. James Harden is listed out with a hamstring injury. Rotational guard Tyler Johnson and Chris Chiozza are also out with injuries.

The Hornets will be missing a plethora of important players against the Nets. Rookie LaMelo Ball is out with a wrist fracture. Rotational guards Malik Monk and Brad Wanamaker are also out. Forward Gordon Hayward is out with a foot injury while PJ Washington is doubtful as he recovers from an ankle injury.
