After Coco lifted her trophy, many people came forward to congratulate her. And one of them was John McEnroe. Not only did he give a celebratory message to Coco, but he also very slyly bombarded Coco?s so-called ?haters? with a fun comment.

In his interview with Eurosport,?he said, ?I heard Coco talking about the people who were writing her off and saying that she was never going to win a major. Who were those people? I’m not familiar with those people because I think her progress has been steady.?

Coco defeated Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus (2-6, 6-3, 6-2) to win her first career Grand Slam title at the 2023 US Open.
