In List A cricket, Garg amassed 539 runs in 15 matches, including a century. Apparently, he even caught the eye of former India captain Rahul Dravid. Dravid praised the youth’s temperament and resilience, which evidently drew in SRH like a magnet.
Being only 19-years old, Garg’s career is just taking off, and a berth in a team of SRH’s calibre will surely launch him up into stardom. In terms of his playing style, Priyam Garg is a right-hand batsman and primarily targets the off-side and can score big.
Now, with the Sunrisers Hyderabad snapping himself and Virat Singh, cheaply, they can now mix it in among the big boys. Dare we say it, Priyam Garg has the potential to be a game-changer and a valuable asset to the Sunrisers Hyderabad for IPL 2020.
