Brandon Brown rose to prominence in the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. The driver seized his maiden victory at the Talladega Superspeedway.

The 28-year-old hails from Woodbridge in Virginia and first began racing at the age of 10. He also drives for the Brandonbilt Motorsports team, which his father owns. Prior to and during his NASCAR career, Brown studied business at Coastal Carolina University, graduating in 2018.

Back in 2014, he made his official NASCAR debut in the Truck Series at the Iowa Speedway; he competed in 22 races across four years. In 2016, he entered the Xfinity arena with Brandonbilt Motorsports, and has been going strong ever since. It is worth mentioning that in 2019, he joined RSS Racing for one race.

Now, the driver will be eagerly awaiting the 2022 Xfinity Series season. The 2020 season was the first full-time season for the #68 driver. That maiden win at Talladega will undoubtedly be a confidence booster for the 28-year-old and he will look to improve his performance in the next season.

In fact, last year, he enjoyed a career-best 11th place in the championship standings. Admittedly, he could only muster 16th in the 2021 season with the Talladega triumph as his lone bright spark. However, that was no flash in the pan, as he notched up two Top 5 finishes and six Top 10 finishes this season.

There is no word on whether Brandon Brown will be back in action for the 2022 season. This is because the Brandonbilt Motorsports team has yet to confirm its participation. Even in 2021, Brown was struggling for sponsors, and even plastered a ‘For Sale’ sticker on the hood of his car. To really sell the stunt, he even made his own promotional video, beseeching sponsors to approach his team for the season. Whether he will have to resort to those desperate tactics again is anybody’s guess.
