Sarah Taylor announced her retirement from international cricket a few days back, quoting her mental issues as a reason for retiring at an early age. Taylor has undeniably been an excellent cricketer, with her gaining many accolades of being the best wicket-keeper in cricket. There might be many stories of her cricketing abilities, but there is a lesser known incident about her off the cricket field, when she gave some social media lessons to Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja.

Six years ago, she was involved in a Twitter conversation with Jadeja. During the 2014 World T20, a series of tweets targeting Jadeja had come up from Taylor’s twitter handle, which seemed like a conversation between them- but without the messages of Jadeja. This might have been due to the latter’s lack of understanding of the working of the social media website then. From the conversation, it was visible that Jadeja wasn’t following Taylor on twitter, meaning she could not message him. Hence, she had to tweet her replies, making them visible to everyone.

In what seemed to be the end of the transparent conversation, they decided to meet at the pool.
