Andre Agassi Apologises For Mocking Pete Sampras
All 4 players were having a lot of fun making jokes about each other. Pete Sampras imitated Andre Agassi’s pigeon-toed walk which generated a lot of laughter. In response to this, Andre made a joke about Pete Sampras being very stingy which was apparently because he was a poor tipper.
Andre was not happy with himself for making the joke. He said, “It was inappropriate. We were all having fun. I was trying to be comedic. I went for it and it fell flat. Sampras didn’t really roll with it. I’ve texted Pete to ask him if I can apologize in person.”

Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras had a lot of history with each other. They had one of the greatest rivalries in tennis history. They played 34 times during their career with Sampras leading 20-14. It was one of the most competitive rivalries as they both played the best tennis they could against each other and in the process, they entertained many tennis fans.
They both said that they got along pretty well on the tour and had mutual respect for each other. So with this much history with each other, I ask – how much of an impact that joke could have had on their relationship? It would have had no impact.
This is why we have seen them play tennis charity matches even after this incident. And I am sure they will continue to do so in the near future because they entertain so many tennis fans around the world by playing absolutely amazing tennis.
